Auckland Art Lounge at the Auckland Art Gallery

  • Antarctica, Anne Noble Sunday, 6 June, 3pm  An illustrated lecture by Anne Noble, Professor of Fine Arts at Massey University in Wellington and one of New Zealand's most respected photographers.  Anne will expand on her visits to Antarctica, and discuss her fine arts focus on this the most fragile of continents, known as 'The Ice'.
  • 19th Century NZ Photography, John Gow Sunday, 13 June, 3pm  John Gow is a founding director of Gow Langsford Gallery and has been involved with John Leech Gallery since 1981, becoming director in 1995.  John has a strong interest in both historical and contemporary New Zealand art, gained from his wide experience advising private collectors, acting as a consultant to corporate collections, museums and public institutions.
  • Te Papa Photography Collection, Keynote Speaker Athol McCredie Sunday, 20 June, 3pm  As the Photography Curator at the Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa, Athol McCredie is the only public curator of photography in New Zealand.   He will give an illustrated talk on Te Papa's collections of photography.
