This year's Matariki exhibition combines the annual Auckland Festival of Photography with established Matariki celebrations. Photographers, multimedia and film artists were invited to submit works that echo one of the core themes of Matariki; a time of remembrance. The exhibition is a way of remembering those who are gone from our lives, the places we hold dear, cherished milestones and forgotten events.
