Theme

How do politics, traditions or religious beliefs affect women and then the whole society? Merely by being born a girl, from birth she undergoes severe limitations from the educational and belief systems she is exposed to”.

What made me focus on women’s lifestyles is that I saw that many of the young generation don’t believe in any of those limitations which governments and old traditions have forced upon them. But when they have the opportunity to escape, especially when they immigrate to a developed country, they are afraid and don’t get any encouragement to use this chance. It’s even worse when mothers try to protect young girls from risk.

By showing women’s lifestyles from a culture to different ones, gives them this chance to have a wider view, and to realise many of these roles and limitations are unnecessary.
