Neighbors in Appalachia is a series of black & white photographs of some of the artists' "Red Neck" neighbors, along a long country mountain road in the mountains of western North Carolina, USA. Rick lived here for many years, before moving to New Zealand.
He says "I lived there as non local "outsider" for 27 years & although I didn't have a lot of contact with them they knew of me & were open enough to let me take pictures of them."
