The quarter-acre section and its garden shed are cornerstones of New Zealand culture, places where suburban modifications take place and eccentric ingenuities are developed. The Backyard Trophy exhibition is an investigation into these curiosities and suburban triumphs found in the homes and gardens of New Zealanders.
