Welcome to Festival Zone for mid May 2022.
It's only 2 weeks until these key destination 'Disruption' exhibitions start in our 2022 Festival edition.
In a world experiencing stress on our natural eco, weather and environmental related systems, and with impacts on socio economic and geo political world order due to the troubling cross over of the climate crisis with Covid, what is the photographers' and artists' role in articulating these issues both here in New Zealand and globally? What are the other disruptive influences and elements on our society?
The 2022 Festival theme is “Disruption” [raruraru].

Late Harvest Award 2022
Late Harvest is an award for any and all photographers participating in the 2022 Festival and it's programme including Image Auckland Awards entrants. Late Harvest is the theme for the award, and is wide open to many interpretations purposefully. Late Harvest can be literal or metaphysical. Open now for entries from within the Festival exhibitors/participating photographers, and closes 1st June 5pm. This is the 6th annual Artist Award sponsored by winesearcher.com
Each photographer that enters will be supporting our climate change project where the Festival is donating a native tree to be planted as part of the benefits to take part through Trees that Count.
