John Ling; Lanterns in the festival; Many people loves to take photo on the lanterns in the festival. I waited for long time to get the right moment when the sky is just darker than the lantern light but still light up a little on the tree. But the power was out for 2 times when almost just the right time to the photos!
John Ling; Shaolin Kungfu in Auckland Chinese New Year Festival 2008; A group of about 30 young Shaolin Monks from China visit Auckland during the Chinese new festival. They perform Shaolin Kungfu in Skycity, Aotea centre and the Lantern festival. The photo was taken when a Shaolin monk use the belly (feat of strength) holding a rice bowl. But seven audiences cannot pull it out!
