Lucinda Webber: Z

The fundamental enquiry ‘Z’ aims to investigate is an exploration of identity surrounding a community of young adults living within Christchurch city. A time of transformation and experimentation, adolescence is the age to make mistakes and to learn from them, as we begin to create our own paths and become independent from our families. Apart of a series of 10 images, ‘Z’ was informed by a collection of writings composed by a select group of individuals that explore a chosen experience that they have had while living in Christchurch as a university student. An underlying idea that has also been incorporated into this project is the effects of social media and new technology on the way in which we communicate and connect with the rest of the world.
