Sophie Hansen;Boy in the shed;My brother working hard in the shed, sanding, hammering and cutting, to make something new. I wanted to capture the feel of how busy my brother was when he works in the shed, going from one piece of machinery to another. I used a slow shutter speed of 30 seconds to capture him as he worked around the bench and used a freeze flash technique. At each part of the bench I used an old lamp we had instead of a flash and flicked it on as he was working to freeze him in action, I then turned it off as he moved and back on when he was working in the next part. This is created all in one shutter with minimal editing.
LEYAO LIU;Street Vibes;A group of young strangers posing for a friendly shot on the sidewalk. They were asking for this random photo when I was doing street photography with my friend. They radiate confidence and style as they smile at the camera. This photo captures the essence of street photography: unexpected encounters and connections.
