"Night Writing was created in collaboration with Ted Howard. It combines thermal imagery of the endangered Kaikōura tītī (Hutton’s Shearwater) in nocturnal flight, with questions and thoughts as to why these ancient seabirds nest and breed so high above the sea, how they find their way in the dark, why they continue to return here despite the growing difficulty and risk, what my relationship with them was, is and is supposed to be, and the ethics of conservation work and lens-based practice." - Conor Clarke
