During Break / between each session: Attendees can try cameras, experience hands on interaction and can mix and mingle. Plus enjoy complimentary drinks and nibbles including coffee, juice and snacks available. (unless already eaten!).

Nikon - Dave Laux
Dave Laux is a herpetologist and wildlife photographer who specialises in macro work with reptiles and invertebrates, shining a light on the intricate details and unexpected beauty of some of the most misunderstood animals.
Through close-up and macro techniques, Dave's images challenge the viewer to reconsider their assumptions about reptiles and invertebrates, transforming scales and stillness into something genuinely compelling.
Dave is an active member of New Zealand's reptile-keeping community and through his photography is working for a brighter future for Wild Places and all Creatures that call it home.

Sony - Tom Ang
Tom Ang is a renowned photographer, author, broadcaster, and academic recognized as a leading authority on digital photography. He has authored over 40 books, including the acclaimed Photography – the definitive visual history and the best-selling Digital Photographer’s Handbook.
His activities extend from editing photo magazines to newspaper picture editing, teaching photography at masters level in university, developing journalism training in former Soviet Union, presenting two TV series on photography for the BBC, and a series on Singapore for China News Asia, to hosting international workshops (Dubai, Sharjah, Cape Town, Manila, Singapore, Budapest, etc.). He has also judged some the world's top photo competitions (he was one of the founding judges of the Sony World Photography Awards).
Tom received the Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) Content Creator Award in 2019 and the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Jinan International Photography Biennial.

Sony - Kirsten Hough
Kirsten Hough is a full-time, award-winning, NZIPP accredited professional pet photographer. Based in rural Waikato, she shoots pet photography sessions at home on her farm. With access to acres of farmland and a river there is no shortage of opportunities for Kirsten to capture stunning environmental portraits of pets.
Whether it’s preserving memories for her clients to treasure for a lifetime or working with animal rescue services to help their animals get adopted more quickly, Kirsten finds her work incredibly satisfying and a wonderful privilege.
Kirsten also loves to help people improve their own photography skills using a hands-on approach, as she’s a firm believer that practice makes perfect and is the best way for people to learn.
