Since 2004 Photographer Jacqui Blanchard has been working on a self-directed series of intimate portraits of New Zealand artists. This project was born out of an interest in the visual arts and of the creative people who make them. This exhibition features new and previously unshown works. The portraits are usually the result of a single encounter with the artist. They are unplanned, instinctive and sometimes result in an unexpected collaboration.
