For Jago Neal photography means taking ‘a pause’ from the everyday pace of life to become present through observation. He uses alternative processes and approaches to create intriguing results. Capturing details and moments within the natural environment using a variety of analouge and digital cameras. Then, combining experimental darkroom techniques such as Liquid Light with other media or transferring images onto wood Jago seeks to extend his ideas.
Ultimately striving to find a balance between accidental and controlled elements within, what he describes ‘the realms of photography’. This exhibition will broaden viewers' perceptions about the discipline itself while highlighting a distinctive vision.
