Carlo Rovelli says that we make the mistake of thinking we are different from the world around us, that we look at it from the outside. We forget that we are like the things we look at and every investigation of things ends up invoking ourselves. We are processes driven by the same stars; we are water, we are Antarctica. What we will lose if we are unable to sustain a symbiotic relationship with our world, if we lose Antarctica and the wild places on our planet is ourselves, and wonder - wonder at the limits of the visible world.
Artist talk at Skar Image Lab: 2.00pm Saturday 24 May 2025.
