Pinhole photography is very much hands-on and creates a kind of unknown spirit. It's photography where only a pinhole lets light in and onto a paper negative, where the exposure time is guesswork and anything can happen. It’s about inviting chance into the process and respecting that the image will find its own migratory path. The shadows play their part to the fullest. They are a passageway to a thought process, a blurring of motion, a moment captured but not contained. They are time and light crafted, votives and mysteries.
