Anxious Production: disrupting a Functionary Bond - Recent Elam graduates Andrew Kennedy and Vito Trupinic use photography and sculpture to explore current dynamics in contemporary photographic practice. Kennedy's work stays close to photographic traditions, referencing genres including still life, studio photography, modernist formal arrangements, image manipulation, analogue techniques, and digital processes to create images in which conflicting meanings co-exist. Testing the medium's documentary potential, Trupinic uses analogue photography to document his sculptures of pinhole cameras and components altering the viewer's experience of objects in space.
