CRL/Link Alliance - Auckland Photo Day - Outdoors - Beresford Square

Auckland Festival of Photography is proud to present a outdoor exhibition of photographs taken for Auckland Photo Day in the last decade by Aucklanders.

The images will feature prominently at several City Rail / Link Alliance station sites from June 2020. The first of 3 street exhibitions will start on corner of Hopetoun St and Beresford Square near K Road.

The project is a partnership between New Zealand’s largest transport infrastructure project and the Auckland Festival of Photography. The displayed images will be curated from the festival’s unique archive of 14000 photographs entered in its Nikon Auckland Photo Day competition held each June.

In June, Karangahape Station sites, followed later by Mt Eden Station will showcase some of the works of the best of previous Auckland Photo Day winners, runners up and entries. The displays fit in with the Link Alliance’s core values of developing the skills and knowledge base of Tāmaki Makaurau through collaborations with the creative sector. The Link Alliance is a consortium of several companies building the main section of City Rail Link tunnels and stations for City Rail Link Ltd.

Dozens of photographs never seen before in public will be displayed from the Auckland Photo Day archives held in trust since 2007. Best seen during the daytime on foot, walking, cycling on Hopetoun Street on the Beresford Square side.
