The beauty of movement draws the photographer's eye to explore the mystery, magic and power of the human body in motion in its many varied forms. Ruth Ames says: "In my dance photography I strive to find that elusive moment when the dancer feels the essence of the dance, that moment in movement when the dance and the dancer become one". Rowena Baines' combined passion for dance and photography captures the beauty and movement of dance. They show the diversity of ethnic dance in our community as well as a dancer's physical form. Bev Goodwin, multimedia artist and tango dancer, explores her fascination with tango.
